Getting to College Station

Airports in and around College Station

College Station has its own aiport (code name CLL) College station (Easterwood) airport. There are Continental flights (from IAH - Houston) and American Airline flights from (DFW - Dallas Forth Worth) to CLL.
The main airport in Houston (about 100 miles away from College Station) is Bush international aiport (code name IAH) Bush international Airport.
The old regional airport is Hobby (code name HOU). There is limited public transport to and from this aiport, but Ground Shuttle (see below) do go there.
The main airport in Dallas (about 200 miles away from College Station) is Dallas Forth Worth (code name DFW) Dallas Forth Worth.
The regional aiport is Dallas Lovefield. This aiport is quite isolated and best avoided (unless you like retro airports or have a car).
The main airport in Austin (about 2 hours drive from College Station) is Austin Bergstrom (code name AUS) Austin Bergstrom. Often cheap deals can be found from this airport.

Contrary to popular belief there does not exist a station in College Station. However, with a little imagination you can get about without a car (with the added bonus that you don't pollute the environment - ground ozone is deadly - and keep fit and healthy)!

The easiest (but unenvironmental) way to get to College Station is by car. There are plenty of car rental companies in the airport (remember most car rental companies close at midnight).

There is an `express' bus from IAH to downtown Houston. It is far from an express service, but it is very cheap (a dollar, compared with 30 dollars, which is the average Taxi cost) Houston buses
A&M offers a free bus service, running from various locations in College station to the University TAMU buses . Between 7:00-18:00 on weekdays, the buses are quite frequent.
