This applet demonstrates a moving average. A sample realization is generated from a deterministic signal plus white noise. The realization, the underlying signal, and the moving average are simultaneously illustrated and the user may interact with various properties of the moving average estimate.
The applet may be resized in order to change the aspect ratio of the graphic.
