Where I Was But Can Never Be Again

Mt. St. Helens circa 1970
This is Mt. St. Helens in Washington State, circa 1970, when I climbed it with my brother and father.  Most of what your see no longer is there - the top 1000 feet and much of the north face evaporated in the 1980 explosion.  The lake you see is now buried under 200 feet of debris.
