Workshop on Statistical Significance
On Friday, November 22, 2019, the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University is hosting a workshop on Statistical Significance. The workshop will be held in the Blocker Building, Room 457.
The purpose of this workshop is to help people become more aware of the correct interpretation of p-values, danger of using p-values, and alternatives to p-values to identify significant results. The audience and invited speakers will be a mix of statisticians and other scientists who use statistics in their work (biologists, epidemiologists, veterinary scientists, psychologists).
*Snacks will be provided throughout the day. Lunch will be provided to all workshop attendees in the Fisher Bowl, Room 453.
