TIMMS HILL - 1,951 FT.
Highest Point in Wisconsin
September 3, 2005 (My 33rd Highpoint)
Timms Hill was the second of two highpoints completed over Labor Day weekend 2005. From
Shullsburg, WI (the first town in Wisconsin, after leaving Charles Mound) we took SR 11 and
SR 23 to get to I-90/94 and then took SR 13 through the Wisconsin Dells (tourist trap) up to
Ogema, WI. From Ogema, proceed east on SR 86 to County Road C and follow the signs for the
Timms Hill County Park.
The walk to the summit from the parking area is an eventful half-mile roundtrip. There is a
large tower on the top so one can have a view
above the sugar maples. No doubt this would be a great place to view the changing into the
fall season.
This will probably be the last picture my dad takes with my camera.
