HIGH POINT - 1,803 FT.
Highest Point in New Jersey
December 29, 2003 (My 15th Highpoint)

I did this highpoint when I went home to Pennsylvania over winter break. With the exception of Rhode Island, this is the highpoint I could have easily done that I hadn't already done. I took an assortment of roads to get to High Point from my parent's house in Lititz, PA; most notably I took US 209 through the Delaware Water Gap which is a really pretty drive, but the road is greatly deteriorated with some potholes the size of basketballs. I went home a different way.

After the three-hour drive, I decided to walk the scenic road to the summit from the park headquarters, which was about two miles roundtrip. Fortunately, I had a nice day to walk there, with sunny weather and a temperature near 50 degrees.

Not sure what I was trying to do here.
