WHITE BUTTE - 3,506 FT.
Highest Point in North Dakota
March 15, 2005 (My 30th Highpoint)

White Butte was my fifth of six highpoints on my spring break trip. I took the CanAm Highway (US 85) north from the Black Hills region in South Dakota through Amidon, ND and took a gravel road east of Amidon to the property of Darryl and Mary Dennis, where White Butte sits.

After receiving permission from Mr. Dennis (via phone), I drove to White Butte, paid the $10 donation and parked by the old abandoned farmhouse on their property. The temperature was in the mid 20s and I quickly made my way to the summit and back in 50 minutes (about 2 miles roundtrip). I then made my way to Bismarck, ND to stay for the night.

See the three stripes on the pants? I'm rockin' the true adidas pants. That's how I get down.
