Contaminating 2 Normal Distributions
This applet illustrates the result of contaminating 2 Normal distributions.
There are two slider
bars which allow changing the mean and standard deviation parameters of the
2 distributions. The contamination distribution is the
result of combining these two distributions. The
combination is controlled with the rho slider bar such that
the result is equal to ρ*population1 +
(1-ρ)*population2.
