Welcome!  This page announces and describes my course for the fall semester (2004).  You will be able to find notes, assignments and old exams here. 

This is a course in the theory of random variables and distributions, including a thorough grounding in the techniques for computing distributions, expectations and conditional expectations.  Statistical dependence, generating functions and limit theory are also covered.  The mathematics required is a basic understanding of multiple integration, power series and limits.
