I'm interested in a "formal" dinner on Tuesday evening. 2. Below, please find my lunch info, flight info, and title and abstract. Lunch: Monday: Vegetarian Tuesday: Vegetarian Arrival: I'll arrive early to see relatives, and I cannot give a ride. Departure: My flight leaves on Wed at 2, and I'm happy to give a ride. I'll have a car. Title and abstract: Title: Functional covariates and slice inverse regression Abstract: We consider the problem where a covariate is measured over time and related in an unknown way to a subsequent scalar outcome. After developing a method to find a summary of the covariate curve that is maximally related to the outcome (in a specific way), we consider a Bayesian formulation of the problem that gives insight into the sampling variability of the discovered relationship. We are motivated by a dataset that concerns allergy development in children. This is very much work in progress, and it is joint work with Lexin Li of NC State. Thanks so much for all your work on this. John Staudenmayer
