I am a postdoctoral research associate in the department of Statistics at Texas A&M university, College Station, TX.
I received my Ph.D. in statistics at Texas A&M in 2017 under supervision of Prof. Valen Johnson. Prior to that, I was in
the field of engineering and earned my and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, respectively from Texas A&M and
Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. While in my masters, I was part of the Center for Bioinformatics and
Genomic System Engineering (CBGSE)
and I did various bioinformatics related projects in Next Generation
sequencing such as genome mapping and RADSeq analysis. Here is a copy of my CV.

By the way, I was born and raised in Shiraz, one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Iran. My city is mostly known by
its world renowned poets such as Hafez and Saadi and being close to Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of Achaemenid Empire.
