Computer Lab Policy

The Department of Statistics has promulgated the following policies regarding the use of the computer lab facility:

1. No food or drink will be permitted in the lab at any time.
2. No person may install his or her own software on any computer in the computer lab without the permission of the Department of Statistics. Students may copy data onto the computers for analysis and may copy results onto their own personal diskettes.
3. The computers in the Department of Statistics Computer Lab are to be used only by students registered in statistics courses for which they have paid a lab fee and may be used only for completing assignments given in their course. Students may not use the computers for projects, papers, or other assignments in non-statistics courses.
4. Any student who vandalizes or attempts to vandalize a computer in the computer lab (including the installation of a virus) will be subject to appropriate discipline as mandated by Texas A&M rules and regulations.
