Student's t Distribution
This applet illustrates the Student's t distribution. There is one slider
bar which allow changing the degree of freedom parameter of the
distribution. Note how changing this parameter alters the shape
of the distribution. The mean is fixed at zero and the location does
not change. We include the normal density and normal distribution curves
for comparison. As the degrees of freedom get larger, note how the Student's
t density and distribution plots converge to the normal plots.
Several statistics are shown for the distribution below the illustration
of the density and distribution plots.
