Information for Students

Students are strongly encouraged to attend COTS 2003. Attending the conference is a good opportunity for students, especially advanced graduate students, to meet faculty, industrial representatives, and other statistics students around the state. All students enjoy reduced conference costs.


Graduate Student Support

COTS provides financial support for those Graduate Students whose Departments are unable to support their travel expenses to attend COTS 2003. Please contact James Hardin (cots@stat.tamu.edu) for more information and to apply for financial assistance. A limited number of stipends (up to $150) will be provided with preference going to those students participating in the poster session.

Competitive Student Poster Session

This year's conference will include a student poster session for Friday afternoon. The posters will be judged and the top three selections will be awarded a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate. To participate, please click on the Submit Abstract button on the main page and fill in the information. Poster boards, staples, and pushpins will be provided. The boards are 40 inches tall and 60 inches wide.
