Tail Classification of a Sample
In JASA 1996, Javier Rojo classified tails of distributions by considering the residual life at age x survival function and two additional refining functions. Thus, most distributions can be classified by tail characteristics into one of the following categories: Super-Short, Moderately-Short, Weakly-Short, Medium, Weakly-Long, Moderately-Long, Super-Long This poster and computer program will demonstrate a newly developed technique to classify a sample into one of the preceding categories.
