The 2016 Aggie Reunion was held during the Joint Statistical Meetings in Chicago, Illinois on Monday, August 1, 2016. Current faculty, students, alumni and special guests gathered together to reconnect and celebrate statistics.
A State of the Department Address is given recognizing faculty, staff and students for accomplishments and awards received throughout the year. The awards presented during the Aggie Reunion included:
- 2016 Anant M. Kshirsagar Endowed Fellowship in Statistics presented to Shiyuan He.
- 2016 Emmanuel Parzen Graduate Research Fellowship presented to Minsuk Shin.
- 2016 William S. Connor Award presented to Yabo Niu.
- 2016 Ruth J. and Howard F. Newton Memorial Graduate Student Teaching Award in Statistics presented (via Skype) to Robert Philbin.
- 2016 H. O. Hartley Award presented to Scott Holan.
- 2016 12th Man Award presented to Mohsen Pourahamadi.
