Two R editor: R-WinEdt & ESS and XEmacs for R.  If you are familiar with the complicated XEmacs hotkeys, the latter might be the best R editor.

Latex Help File


 

Winedt + MikTex: a popular Latex editor.  But I just found that Linux has much better latex editors (in both appearance and convenience, and they are free), like Kile and  Texmaker. (It says that the latter can also be installed in Windows, but I haven't try. Check their website.)

 

PowerPoint-like Latex slides: pdfscreen, texpower and prosper (To add color, background, navigator, and animation effects to your pdf-latex slides) I would highly recommend the last one, which is very easy to use.
